So here we have it, two weeks after Tottenham Hotspur’s first pre-season match in Singapore, we have the fifth and final pre-season match, this time in N17 against Inter Milan. Pre-season has consisted of seeing the players you are used to see every Saturday in the league, as well as a hefty amount of academy kids, including the likes of Troy Parrott, Harvey White, and Jack Roles to name a few. Then of course you have seen the likes of Harry Kane, Dele, and Jan Vertonghen.

Tottenham with a line up that you could easily see in the Premier League, or even Champions league, you excepted to see a good game of football. Then within 3 minutes, Lucas Moura scores, with Erik Lamela assisting. For the first half of the first 45 minutes, Spurs were really in the game. Dominating possession, and generating chances. Then Inter Milan got into the game. Realistically, Inter should have scored before the 36th minute, when the ball hit the post and nearly reflecting in. However, they did score not long after. Of course, with multiple chances to both teams, at half time and during the second half, nothing really happened. Except for an effort by Son, but Inter seemed to be more dominant in the second half. Then it all came down to penalties. Spurs lost 4-3 on penalties.

The Spurs Lads

Erik Lamela seems sharp during this pre-season, a few long balls and his passing does need improving (a bit), but if he can stay injury free during the season it will be a massive boost. It is also Lamela we are talking about here, so we all know he likes to foul others.

Kyle Walker-Peters does impress me at times. I can see him becoming an excellent Right Back, but before this pre season he hasn’t really had the game time. However, now Trippier has gone to Madrid, and Aurier seems to always be injured, perhaps this is KWP season. Not saying he is the best, and I prefer when he plays with Toby Alderweireld instead of Sanchez, but let’s see what the season has to offer. Will KWP be the first choice RB, or will Spurs buy before Thursday?

Lucas Moura, his a good little player isn’t he? It’s nice to see him sharp, and score goals as well.

Harry Winks, probably one of the players with the most touches of the ball. He seems to control the midfield. Yes there were a few odd passes, but he also made a couple of brilliant passes in the first half. Sissoko and NDombele as well seem to be comfortable again in the midfield. Exciting to see how NDombele gets on in the rest of the season.

One lad for the future is definitely Troy Parrott. At just 17, you can see he has got the skill and the class. It will be interesting to see if he can get a step into the first team, or will he be loaned out? Would however like to see him make a few appearances in the league next season, especially as Spurs no longer have a back up striker. The same with Oliver Skipp in midfield, but I can see him getting the game time in the premier league, similar to last season. Definitely one to watch as well in the next few years.
