Back when I started this little space on the internet, it was devoted to beauty, but lately I have neglected that side of my blog.

Now that doesn’t mean I no longer love beauty, because honestly I do. I mean I think I went into every Sephora that I walked past in LA a few weeks back, and the Toronto Sephora is now my friend, but it isn’t something that I tend to blog about or even photograph anymore. However, I’ve realised that I’ve missed writing about my favourite beauty products and honestly I think I have discovered some pretty amazing beauty products recently.
IT Cosmetics CC Cream

Now I have been watched Lily Pebbles and The Anna Edit for a very long time, and both have always raved about the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. Now I wasn’t willing to spend $50 (plus tax, because America) on the full sized version, but I was willing to pick up the travel sized version in the really horrible till section in Sephora, for $15.
I picked up the CC cream in light, which is actually a bit too dark for me as i’m white as a sheep living in Canada, but I have had a number of compliments when I have been wearing it. I’m super impressed by how full coverage it is, whether you are applying it with a damp or dry beauty blender, and it really helps with the shine throughout the day even when I haven’t set it.
The only negative is, is that it tends to crack around my dry skin and on my chin, although I think that maybe my concealer rather than the cream.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara

I bet you thought I was going to write Benefit Badgal Bang, well sadly not because I am yet to get my hands on that little mascara yet. In addition, I have recently fallen in love with They’re Real mascara, although I still do not like the fact that it takes ages to come off, but that is side problem for a tired Alicia.
The hype of They’re Real never caught on to me. I’ve always been a fan of RollerLash and I still am, but I am so impressed with They’re Real, and I think what helps me now is that I properly curl my lashes before applying the mascara. For me, that is how I get better results, even though I have quite long lashes they are also very straight. The curl then lasts all day, even when you are sweating it out at the gym, napping, walking around a city, and clubbing.

Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanse & Polish

A lifelong favourite of mine. Okay about a three year favourite of mine, and you have probably seen it being mentioned a few times on this blog.
Hot cloth cleanse & polish really does work with my skin. I have never experienced any breakouts from using the product, and not only does it help to remove make up, but it does honestly make my skin feel amazing.
Rimmel London Insta Duo Contour Stick

The whole cream contour has never really been a thing for me, mainly because my oily/combination skin will melt it off, however now I have the Rimmel Insta Duo Contour Stick in my life. Now, I am not saying this is the best product out there, and I do have to use a powder to set (PRAISE THE LORD FOR CHARLOTTE TILBURY BRONZE AND GLOW), but I love the contour. The highlighter I’m not the biggest fan of, but the contour I really do like. I don’t see it rubbing off my foundation or melting after a few hours, which is exactly what I need in my life.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette

Okay, it is winter and I probably shouldn’t be talking about a “summer” palette, but it is a beauty. The Naked Heat palette is everything I need in my life. We have our browns, our pink shimmers and our purples, and as a girl with green eyes I think I use every single shade in that glourious rectangle palette. I will either mix them to create a causal or more dramatic eye, or I will use the shimmers by themselves, because they are pigmented. I just love Urban Decay palettes, and the Naked Heat is no exception.
